Assembling the Buttons

Today, we set out to make the buttons. It was quite the adventure. After several iterations and tests, we decided on the button design we wanted and installed them in the kiosks.

Here’s a few iterations of the face transparencies we did. We did not end up going with any of them, but they made for a cool photo.







We tested each version of the design with the light inside of the buttons on. As you can see, it looked best with the most solid-colored design.

However, we didn’t love the dark color. So we went with a bright yellow! We agreed that it was nice and vibrant like our branding, and yellow smile icons are pretty universally recognized thanks to emojis.

And that’s how we got here! Aren’t they adorable?

Here’s the button assembly line! Kat and Casey put all 15 buttons together piece-by-piece. When you consider each button is comprised of 8 parts, you realize how much patience was required for this job!
Here they are, fully installed in the kiosks! We are PSYCHED.
