First week down; three to go! Since our launch, we’ve received much attention from students, faculty, and the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences (CIAS) here at RIT! We’ve gotten hundreds of inputs at each kiosk so far.

After blood, sweat, and tears – after staying in the labs troubleshooting for 12 hours – we got the control boards wired up, installed in the kiosks, and ready to be placed in the wild.
RIT, it’s official. OUR KIOSKS ARE LIVE.
Today, we set out to make the buttons. It was quite the adventure. After several iterations and tests, we decided on the button design we wanted and installed them in the kiosks.

We purchased the buttons! Here’s a picture of us disassembling them for the sake of customizing them. Next step is assembling them with our design and adding them to the kiosks. How exciting!
With Casey’s skilled father John Gilbert’s help, we completed the kiosks! We think they’re lookin’ grand.
Once we had our design in order, we got down to business constructing these things. We had the help of an incredibly skilled carpenter – Casey’s dad John Gilbert!
We put our heads together and channeled our inner Industrial Designers. We wanted to create simple and attractive kiosk that would get people to interact with it. We think we did a great job, if we do say so ourselves!
